When someone has died, families are left trying to work out how to say goodbye in a way that feels right.
I work with families to create funeral services that feel like the person they’re there to remember – not something generic or overly formal, but something thoughtful, personal, and true to the life that was lived. My role is to understand the person, the family, and the moment, and to get the tone right.
The process itself is straightforward and gently guided, at a time when things can feel anything but. We meet (in person or online) to talk about who the person was and what mattered to them. I help draw out the stories, memories, and details that made them who they were, and from there I create a service that reflects them clearly and honestly. I work alongside your funeral director and lead the service on the day.
I aim for something that feels natural – where people recognise the person being spoken about and feel connected to what’s being said. This approach suits families who want something personal and genuine, rather than traditional or formulaic. People who want to acknowledge the whole person, not just a polished version, and create a service that feels meaningful to those who knew them.
Every service is different. My role is to work closely with you to find the right tone, and to hold it well on the day. If you’re considering a service and aren’t quite sure what you want yet, that’s completely normal - let's talk it through.
